Semolina biscuits

Preparation time: 20 min.   Total time: 35 min.

Ingredients (For about twenty biscuits) :

  • 100gr fine semolina
  • 80gr flour
  • 40gr softened butter 
  • 1 egg
  • 100gr sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper. 
2. Prepare the pastry: in a large bowl, mix the semolina, flour and baking powder. In another bowl, beat the egg with the sugar and softened butter until creamy. 
3. Gradually add the flour and semolina mixture to the wet mixture. Mix until you have a smooth dough. If the dough is too sticky, add a little flour.
4. Using your hands, shape the dough into small balls and place them on the baking tray, spacing them slightly apart. Flatten each ball to form biscuits. 
5. Baking: Bake the biscuits in the oven for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
