Preparation time: 20 min. Total time: 25 min.
Ingredients (for 3-4 people) :
- 350 g small spelt flakes
- 200 g split pea flakes
- 3 carrots
- 1 large shallot
- 3 teaspoons turmeric
- 2 tablespoons rice flour
- 750 ml boiling water
Preparation:
Grate the 3 carrots.
Slice or dice the shallots.
In a large bowl, mix the spelt and split pea flakes with the carrots, shallots, turmeric and rice flour.
Add 750 ml boiling water and stir to form a dense paste.
Form the dough into patties (using pastry circles, for example).
Brown in a frying pan with olive oil or in the oven. Be careful, galettes tend to dry out in the oven.
Tips:
Don't add all the water at once: check the consistency and add the rest of the water as required.
If the binder doesn't bind well, add a beaten egg.
You can replace the spelt flakes with barley, oats...
