Ingredients (serves 4) :
- 1 Milan kale
- approx. 400 g chopped tomatoes
- 400 g minced meat
- ½ lemon, squeezed
- 5 cumin seeds
- 50 g grated mozzarella cheese
- 1 bay leaf
- salt and pepper
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 230°C (gas mark 7-8).
Peel and wash cabbage. Bring a large pot of salted water to the boil and immerse the cabbage in it for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, stew the tomatoes with the bay leaf, cumin and lemon juice, seasoned with salt and pepper, for 10 minutes.
Drain the cabbage and cut into strips. Add to tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove bay leaf.
Add ground meat. Mix and pour into a gratin dish. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Place in oven for 20-25 minutes, until meat is cooked and cheese is golden brown. Serve immediately, piping hot.
